Although standardized testing is only one small measure of how well our school is doing, Tealby School is a consistent performer at the end of KS2, both locally and nationally.

In Mathematics, 89% of children achieved the expected standard (EXS). This is well above both local and national averages. Additionally, 1 pupil was absent for SATs this year.

- Nationally in 2019 26.5% pupils achieved Greater Depth in Mathematics. Tealby School is improving and is continuing to narrow the Graeter Depth gap with national.
- Tealby School’s average score in the test in Mathematics was 106 - with the National average score in 2019 of 105, which was above national.
- 2019 Value Added for Year 6 was calculated using the formula that was applied nationally in 2018 - it may change for 2019 – however figures are highly likely to be close to the figures that will be released nationally in October. Maths is -0.51 (Expected to be in the band between -1.0 and +1.0).
To achieve good and positive figures for Value Added was always going to be challenging –based on the high outcomes many of these pupils achieved in Year 2 in 2015- so these Value Added figures are stronger when taken in context rather than at face value.
In Reading, 89% achieved the expected standard (EXS). This is above local and national averages. Additionally, 1 pupil was absent for SATs this year.

- In Reading 41% achieved Greater Depth - strong outcome –well above national.
- Greater Depth Nationally in 2019 was 27%
- Tealby School’s average score in the Reading test was 107 with the average national score in 2019 104 - Consistently, maintained, above national.
- 2019 Value Added for Year 6 was calculated using the formula that was applied nationally in 2018 - it may change for 2019 – however figures are highly likely to be close to the figures that will be released nationally in October. Reading is -0.45 (Expected to be in the band between -1.0 and +1.0)

- At Tealby School in Writing 41% achieved Greater Depth - a strong outcome –well above national
- Greater Depth Nationally in 2019 was 20%.
- The average score in Writing was 104.9 - the National in 2019 is not yet available (similar to 2018 – in 2019 school received external moderation).
