• Last day in the forest for Year 4

  The last day in the forest for Y4,  so we made it a big one!
  We finished the flint knives, hafting the blades to handles with pitch and rawhide, ancient style..  we prepared rabbits for the spit with sharp flint as our knife, lots to discuss and see with this, a really interesting, thought provoking activity including food and it’s origins and anatomy etc!  We had a bit of bow and arrow fun, as well as eagle eye, and a special Wild Woodcraft candle as we had THREE birthday girls today! A very busy day for everyone and a fun day! especially the evolutionary biology bit!! Just ask the kids about fingers and toes!

  There has been lots happening today!

  We have been shelter finishing and have worked magic with flint, wood and skin!
