Find out what has been happening in school this week.
Annie was extremely proud of her literacy work this week. She designed a brand new toy to send to 'Mr T shop' who wrote to us about his special toy shop.
Annie used great adjectives and remembered to use capital letters and full stops! Well done Annie!
Class 1 really enjoyed a 'teddy bear's picnic' lunch after their sponsored walk this afternoon.
Class 3 getting creative with glitter and glue to make time machine collages!
We have grown our beans from seed initially using only a plastic bag and a wet paper towel ( well we are in school!). The beans were planted into pots once they had grown some decent roots and shoots and then were left outside.
Today, some of Y4 and Y5 have taken the beans out to plant in the newly dug vegetable patch on the field.
We have found some interesting ‘treasure’ as we forked the soil over, pottery pieces, bits of old clay pipe and a rusty hook. All interesting talking points.
The children planted the beans in two lines and we have put in a line of string to support them.
A job well done by Class 3, now we have to look after them until harvest.
After a very hot and busy PE session, the children needed somewhere cool. We went to the park and took some time to just lay or sit under the shade of the trees. The children were encouraged to notice the leaves and the light coming through, the colours, shapes and shades. It was a relaxing way to end a busy day.
