Find out what has been happening in school this week.
Class 1 received a special letter from some palaeontologists asking us to research the dinosaur that was in our outdoor area (have a look what we found on our Class 1 page!)
We used books, information sheets, observations of the remains and search engines to compare different fossils.
Our extensive research indicates that the fossils found last week are that of a T-Rex!
Year 3 have their turn in the woods for forest school this half term. For the first week(when we were not in the forest), we spent a very chilly afternoon on the field. We did some warm up exercises using the trees to help us, we spent a bit of time racing on the field and then we looked at ‘framing nature’. Using a simple frame, the children chose what they would like to photograph. Some things were as they found them, some things were a bit of created work. All were lovely and the children really thought about what they were looking at. To finish off we did outdoor music using only our hands.
