Find out what has been happening in school this week.
Class 1 had lots of fun taking part in Garden Day. They cleared up leaves, weeded the raised beds, planted new bulbs and even found time to create some natural artwork! The children showed great teamwork took part in some fabulous discussions surrounding the environment.
Class One's fairies had a problem... they couldn't get out of their house! The children investigated and found that they were blocked in by litter. The children worked as a team to clear the fairy home and devised a plan to both get rid of litter and prevent it in future. The children took part in a community litter pick this morning to clear up Tealby park and have designed some posters to put up around the local area to prevent it from happening again!
Class 1 enjoyed an outdoor learning session this week. They worked in groups to match autumn colours, make transient art and play the 'woolly worms' game!
We became engineers this morning and made our own rockets using the tools of paper, pencils, tape and straws.
The children had trial runs in the classroom and any technical issues were solved-hopefully.
Once made we headed outside to test them out.
Our whole school spent some time sharing books this afternoon. Years 4 and 5 joined the Class 1 children and Year 6 joined Years 2 and 3.
The children loved spending time with the other year groups and discussing popular stories.
Well done to Class 1's Star and Value of the week! Keep up the great work!
